Coaching Expressions of Interest – 2026 Season

Greensborough Hockey Club is seeking Expressions of Interest from coaches to join our 2026 programs across senior and junior teams. We’re building a collaborative, team-based coaching model, with flexible roles including head coaches, weeknight trainers, assistant trainers, and game day coaches. If you enjoy working as part of a coaching team and want to support player development in a strong club environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Free Come & Try – February and March

Looking for a new team sport for your child in 2026? Greensborough Hockey Club is running a free come-and-try hockey program across February and March for kids aged around 4 to 16 who are new to the game. Hockey is a fun, fast, non-contact team sport, and beginners are very welcome — we even provide a hockey stick for each session while you decide if it’s the right fit.

🏑 Calling All Future Junior Coaches in 2025! 🏑

Greensborough Hockey Club is looking for Assistant Junior Coaches to help develop young players while gaining valuable coaching experience. No prior coaching experience is needed—just enthusiasm, reliability, and the ability to connect with children. Head coaches will plan sessions, so all you need to do is turn up and follow their lead.

A key benefit is breaking training into small groups of six, allowing for deeper learning and better skill matching. If you train or coach with the seniors at 7 PM, time will be given to transition smoothly.

🏑 How We Staff the Greensborough Hockey Club Canteen in 2025 🏑

The canteen is an essential part of the Greensborough Hockey Club match-day experience, providing food and drinks for players, families, and supporters. To keep it running smoothly, we rely on volunteers through a structured roster system.

For junior games, two parents from the playing team serve during their child’s game, handing over to the next team’s parents.

For senior weekend games, teams are rostered to provide service, supported by experienced volunteers who ensure smooth operations.

By sharing responsibilities fairly, we keep the canteen open, create a welcoming environment, and strengthen our club community. Your support makes it possible! 🏑💙💚
