Junior Training

Junior Training

Junior training times are listed below.

Senior training times are also included because some junior players may train with senior squads, depending on their age, development stage, team placement and coach guidance.

The Under 12 Tuesday night skills session is included as an additional skills-focused training opportunity for Under 12 girls and boys.

Players should arrive ready to start on time, with stick, mouthguard, shin guards and suitable footwear. Training times may change during the season, so players and families should also follow updates from their coach, team manager or section coordinator.

Junior players should only attend their normal age-group training unless they have been advised to attend a senior training session by their coach, team manager or section coordinator.

School holidays

Junior training does not usually run during school holidays.

Training will only take place during school holidays if your team coach specifically advises players and families that a session is going ahead.

If you are unsure, check with your coach, team manager or section coordinator before attending.

Private Coaching

Private coaching is available as an additional option for players who want more focused support outside normal team training.

It may help players work on specific skills, confidence, decision-making, body position, first touch, passing, receiving, shooting, defending or applying skills in game situations.

Private coaching does not replace regular team training. Players should continue attending their normal age-group or team training sessions, because team training is where players build connection, structure and match understanding with their teammates.

For junior players, private coaching should be arranged through the club’s approved private coaching process. This helps ensure sessions are safe, appropriate and aligned with club expectations.
