FAQ

  1. Can I try you out for free? Yes – your first time with us is always free, so whether you want to play men’s/women’s or mixed, or you’re a beginner / youth player – drop us a line and we’ll get you along to a free session to try us out!
  2. I’ve not played in a few years, so not sure if I should play? No problem, come and try for free! We have a wide range of abilities in our men’s & women’s, including development sides – so generally speaking we have something to suit you!
  3. I’m a beginner – what would be best for me? Our metro teams are a good place to start for adults. Just contact us and let us know and we’ll get you into a team. Contact us.
  4. Do you play summer league? Yes from October to February, so with us you get access to hockey all year round.
  5. Is training included? Yes, if you play men’s/women’s/juniors – then training sessions are included.
  6. Can I progress up through the teams? Yes, our sides are dynamic – so as you improve, you’ll have plenty of opportunity to progress.
  7. I have a busy life and may not be able to train – no problem, metro hockey is a great option for you. Low commitment, play/train when you can, it’s the ultimate in flexible hockey.
  8. I’m a goalie – but I have no kit. That’s no problem, we have club kits – just get in touch and we’ll sort you out.

Club Policies

  1. Players are expected to play in the best spirits of the game and uphold the values of the club at all times.
  2. Greensborough Hockey Club is committed to running a progressive team set up, with players having the option to progress upwards based on performance, our aim to get you to the best level you can play at.
  3. Players will be expected to pay fees on time. Any failures to pay owed fees or stick to the agreed payment plan will mean you are not eligible for team selection.
  4. Greensborough Hockey Club does not tolerate or accept behaviour from any members that causes offence, is malicious or considered by the management to be outside of the behaviour expected of members of the Greensborough Hockey Club.
  5. The club expects players to conduct themselves in a sportsman-like manner when representing the club on and off the field. Player safety should be paramount and at no time shall a player attempt to cause deliberate harm to another player in the Greensborough Hockey Club or any club we face.
  6. On club socials members are reminded to drink responsibly and at their own risk.
  7. Player selection is at the discretion of the Greensborough Hockey Club management and no player has a default right to play by being a member.
  8. Safety equipment – mouth guards, shin pads and correct footwear are highly recommended by Greensborough Hockey Club, players should make their own personal safety their responsibility.
