GHC Future Fund: How Local Businesses Can Back Local Families

Local businesses help make strong local communities possible. Through the GHC Future Fund, businesses can now make a practical, tax-deductible contribution to the future of community hockey and the families who are part of it.

Donations of $2 or more through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax-deductible. The Future Fund supports priorities that strengthen Greensborough Hockey Club beyond the normal costs of running a season.

Why this matters

Community sport gives children and families confidence, friendships, positive role models, healthy activity, a place to belong and a connection to the local community.

A contribution to the GHC Future Fund helps strengthen:

  • Junior development and coaching
  • Shared training equipment
  • Beginner and participation support
  • Girls' and inclusive hockey pathways
  • Facility and community improvements
  • Long-term club sustainability

Ways a local business can help

A business can make a one-off tax-deductible donation, support a matched-giving challenge, encourage staff or customers to participate, or direct its community contribution toward priorities such as juniors, equipment or participation access.

Matched giving can be especially powerful. A business that offers to match donations from the GHC community can turn one contribution into broader community momentum.

Donation or sponsorship?

The Future Fund is a philanthropic giving pathway through the Australian Sports Foundation. It is separate from commercial sponsorship.

If a business wants advertising, signage, promotion or other commercial benefits, that belongs in a separate sponsorship conversation. A Future Fund donation is about community giving.
