Greensborough Hockey Club is preparing for a huge Saturday of grand final hockey, with three Burra teams taking the field at Elgar Park on 12 September.
The day brings together two women’s teams and one men’s team, giving members, families, past players and supporters a full afternoon of opportunities to get behind the green and white.
Women’s Pennant E open the day
The first grand final begins at 10:30 am on ELG1, when Greensborough’s Women’s Pennant E side takes on Essendon.
It is the opening match of a big Burra program and the perfect reason to get to Elgar Park early, settle in and help create a strong Greensborough presence from the first whistle.

Women’s Pennant C face MCC
At 1:00 pm on ELG1, Women’s Pennant C will meet MCC with the premiership on the line.
With the morning crowd already at the ground, this match gives supporters the chance to stay on and build the atmosphere through the middle of the day.

Men’s Pennant C round out the program
The final Burra grand final of the day starts at 3:00 pm on ELG1, when Men’s Pennant C takes on Geelong.
It completes a rare three-match grand final program for the club and gives everyone the chance to stay through to the end of the afternoon and support another Greensborough team chasing a premiership.

Come and support the Burra
Grand final days are about more than the teams on the field. They are an opportunity for the whole club to come together, reconnect across age groups and teams, and create the kind of sideline support that makes finals hockey memorable.
If you can make it to Elgar Park, wear your green and white and get behind WPE, WPC and MPC throughout the day.
