Get Active Kids Voucher Program: Round 11
Round 11 of the Get Active Kids Voucher Program is now open.
Eligible Victorian families can apply for a voucher of up to $200, or seek reimbursement for eligible fees already paid.
The program helps families pay for children and young people to participate in sport and active recreation. At Greensborough Hockey Club, families can use an approved voucher to reduce eligible membership, registration or participation fees. However, families cannot use it as a general-purpose payment or for unrelated purchases.
Who may be eligible?
For Round 11, a child or dependant must:
- be aged 0 to 18 years;
- live in Victoria; and
- meet at least one of the program’s eligibility pathways:
- be named on both a Health Care Card and a Medicare Card;
- be named on both a Pensioner Concession Card and a Medicare Card;
- hold a temporary, provisional or student visa, or be an undocumented migrant; or
- reside in Victorian Care Services or kinship care.
For each eligible child, families can apply for either one voucher or one reimbursement in Round 11, not both. The Get Active Kids Voucher Program assesses eligibility; Greensborough Hockey Club does not. If you are unsure which pathway applies, check the official program guidance before paying or applying.
Important Round 11 dates
- Applications open: 15 September 2026.
- Applications close: 10:00 am on 13 October 2026, or earlier if the available funding is exhausted.
- Voucher expiry: 27 April 2027.
- Voucher redemption closes: 18 May 2027.
- Reimbursement expenditure period: eligible fees paid from 1 May 2026 until the reimbursement application is submitted.
The program expects Round 11 to be the only funding round between now and June 2027. Families can use vouchers for eligible summer or winter sport before the voucher expires.
How to use a Get Active Kids Voucher Program voucher at GHC
Eligible families can apply for a voucher through the Get Active Kids Voucher Program application page.
When applying, select Greensborough Hockey Club as the activity provider and use our Activity Provider code:

After the program issues your voucher, email its code to the GHC Treasurer so GHC can apply it to the child’s eligible registration or membership payment. Then, families can use the voucher once, in one transaction, with the activity provider they selected in the application.
Examples of eligible GHC costs
Subject to the program rules and the structure of the relevant GHC fee, examples may include:
- a junior membership fee;
- a junior registration fee for a hockey season or competition;
- an eligible participation fee for a GHC hockey program; or
- a uniform item or safety item, such as a mouthguard, only when the club includes and charges for it as part of the eligible membership or registration fee.
For example, if an eligible child’s GHC registration and membership fees total $420, an approved $200 voucher may reduce the amount the family needs to pay to the club to $220. If the eligible fee is less than $200, the voucher does not create a cash balance or credit for later use.
What the voucher cannot be used for
Program rules limit vouchers to a child’s participation in sport or active recreation. Families cannot use them for:
- standalone hockey sticks, bags, shoes or other equipment;
- uniforms or safety items bought separately from membership or registration fees;
- food, drinks or canteen purchases;
- travel, accommodation or transport;
- merchandise, fundraising, donations or social activities; or
- any other purchase that is not an eligible membership, registration or participation fee under the program rules.
Families must not ask the club to convert the voucher into cash or a refund. GHC can redeem only the amount needed for the child’s approved fees. The club cannot redeem an unused balance.
Already paid your GHC fees?
If your family has already paid eligible fees, you may be able to apply for reimbursement of up to $200. For Round 11, families must have paid an eligible membership, registration or participation fee on or after 1 May 2026 and before submitting their reimbursement application.
Applicants must provide evidence of the fee they paid. In addition, the official guidance says the evidence must show the payment date, include at least $50 of eligible paid fees, and match or exceed the reimbursement amount the family claims. Get Active Kids Voucher support at GHC
The Get Active Kids Voucher Program can make junior hockey more affordable for eligible Victorian families. If your child is joining or continuing at Greensborough Hockey Club, check the current program rules, apply through the official Victorian program, and send the issued voucher information to the GHC Treasurer before completing payment.
