Junior summer hockey in Greensborough gives young players a free and flexible way to keep playing, develop skills and enjoy more time on the pitch. There is no cost and no expectation that participants attend every week. Families can choose the sessions that suit their availability. Choose the right junior summer hockey session
The current options are:
Tuesday, 5.30–6.30 pm, 20 October to 24 November: Under 12 boys and girls.
Wednesday, 6–7 pm, 21 October to 25 November: junior girls interested in playing senior hockey in 2027.
Thursday, 6–7 pm: primary school children, including beginners with no prior hockey experience. The Thursday session has been advertised for 22 October to 26 November; please confirm its dates and current arrangements with the club before attending. Families can also ask which option best suits their child.
Each session focuses on enjoyable activities, basic skills, movement, teamwork and confidence. Coaches can adapt activities to suit the group, give clear instructions and provide opportunities for participants to ask questions or take a break when needed.
What families need to know
Loan equipment will be available where possible, helping children try hockey without buying a stick first. Families should check the current session details before attending because locations, times and activity arrangements may change.
Participants should wear comfortable sports clothing, bring water and arrive ready to listen and take part. Children do not need to be experienced hockey players. New players are welcome, and returning players can use the sessions to rebuild confidence and reconnect with the sport.
