This page lists private coaching options currently available through Greensborough Hockey Club. Private coaching is optional, sits outside normal team training, and must be booked through the club’s approved booking process.

Available coaches
Billy Bishop
Billy has played hockey at National League level in the south of England for a number of years, including experience in National League Division One South. His playing background includes both high-level club hockey and university hockey in the United Kingdom.
As a player, Billy has played National League hockey for the past three to four years with Oxford Hawks Hockey Club. After graduating from university, he now plays for Guildford Hockey Club.
Billy also played in the British Universities and Colleges Sport Premier League while studying at Oxford Brookes University. This gave him experience in a competitive university hockey environment alongside his National League club hockey.
Billy’s playing experience gives him a strong base for supporting players who want to understand the demands of higher-level hockey. He can draw on his club and university hockey background to help players develop their skills and apply them more effectively in game situations.
Billy can support players by sharing the knowledge and experience he has gained from playing in National League and BUCS Premier League environments. His profile is especially suited to players who want exposure to the standards, habits and expectations of competitive club and university hockey in the UK.
Ignasi Vilumara
Ignasi Vilumara has been involved in hockey for as long as he can remember. He began playing at the age of two at Club Junior de Sant Cugat in Spain and has remained deeply connected to the sport ever since.
As a player, Ignasi has represented Spain at U18, U21 and Senior Indoor level. His achievements include winning the U18 European Championship, several Spanish National Championships, a bronze medal at the Indoor European Championship, and selection in the Spanish Senior Indoor National Team.
Ignasi has also been coaching since the age of 16. He has worked with players across a wide range of ages and levels, from young beginners through to senior teams. He currently coaches the Club Junior Men’s Second Team, which competes in the highest regional division in Catalonia.
Ignasi is passionate about coaching and player development. His aim is to share the knowledge and experience he has gained through his playing and coaching journey, helping players improve their technical skills, game understanding, confidence and enjoyment of hockey.
Ignasi can support players across a broad range of hockey skills by observing, analysing and refining technique, decision-making and game understanding. His coaching areas include attacking skills such as 1v1 play, hitting, backhand skills, ball control, directional receiving, circle entry and finishing, as well as defensive body position, tackling and ball-winning.
Ignasi can also support players with broader hockey concepts and specialist technical analysis where appropriate. For some specialist skills, this may involve body-position feedback, timing cues and correction rather than full physical demonstration.
Joan Miro
Joan Miró plays for Club Deportivo Terrassa in Spain. Hockey has been a major part of his life and has helped shape him both as a player and as a person.
As a player, Joan has won three Spanish National Championships and was named MVP at the Spanish Youth National Championship. He has also represented Spain at every junior level, winning the U18 European Championship and competing in the Four Nations Tournament in Germany.
Joan is a midfielder who enjoys being involved in every phase of the game. He is especially strong in specialist attacking skills, including drag flicking, backhand shooting, receiving aerial balls, and finishing in front of goal.
Joan’s coaching is well suited to players who want to add more threat, confidence and variety to their game. He can help players develop specialist scoring skills, improve their receiving and finishing, and make better decisions in attacking areas.
Alongside his playing career, Joan has gained coaching experience with U12 and U14 teams. He has also supported the physical conditioning of his own team, giving him experience in helping players prepare, train with purpose and keep improving.
Joan enjoys sharing his knowledge and helping players develop both on and off the field. His accepted specialist coaching areas include drag flicking, backhand shooting, receiving aerial balls, and finishing in front of goal. As a midfielder, he can also support players with game understanding, decision-making, and connecting play across different phases of the game.
