Greensborough Hockey Club congratulates Jordan Rees, Heath Simpson and Lachlan Purser on their recognition at the 2026 Hockey Victoria awards night. Their honours celebrate contributions to hockey through playing, coaching and umpiring.
Jordan Rees: Men’s Premier League All Stars player
Jordan Rees was selected in the 2026 Men’s Premier League All Stars Team. His selection is a proud moment for Jordan and the Burra community, recognising his place among the league’s All Stars for the season.
Heath Simpson: Men’s Premier League All Stars coach
Heath Simpson was selected as coach of the 2026 Men’s Premier League All Stars Team. Alongside Jordan’s selection, Heath’s recognition gives Greensborough two reasons to celebrate in this year’s All Stars team.
Coaches play a central role in club hockey. They guide players, prepare teams and support development throughout the season. It is pleasing to see a Burra coach recognised at league level.
Lachlan Purser: 15+ Years of Service Award
Lachlan Purser received a 15+ Years of Service Award in recognition of his continued umpiring. This honour acknowledges a sustained contribution to the game over many years.
Umpires help make hockey possible each week. Their commitment matters to players and teams across the sport, and Lachlan’s award is an opportunity to thank him for that service.
Congratulations from the Burra
These honours recognise three different ways of contributing to hockey. We congratulate Jordan, Heath and Lachlan, and thank them for their contribution to the game and our club community.
