How To Score Quickly

Welcome to our latest video, where we’re going to explore an exciting skill: receiving on the reverse and shooting as fast as you can. When we’re approaching the D, we want to maximize our shooting speed, and sometimes receiving the ball on our reverse side can provide us with better options. Today, we’ll discuss two different techniques for receiving on the reverse and executing a lightning-fast shot.

The first option is to let the ball roll towards your reverse side and take a shot. In this technique, you’re softening the landing of the ball and allowing it to flow towards your reverse stick. This creates a smooth, continuous motion that sets you up for a quick reverse shot.

The second option is all about surprise and deception. As you receive the ball on your reverse, you’re going to quickly put it inside, fooling the defenders into thinking you’re going in that direction. By having your right hand at the bottom of the grip and your left hand at the top, you’ll turn your stick for the backhand reception. Then, you’ll bring the left side of your body down, enabling you to put the ball inside and instantly take a shot on the first touch. This move catches defenders off guard and allows you to shoot with lightning speed.

An important aspect to remember is to open your shoulders towards the goal as you receive the ball. By doing so, you’ll have better vision and awareness of the defenders and your teammates. Opening your shoulders allows you to quickly assess the situation, step in with your right foot, and unleash a powerful shot. This positioning gives you a significant advantage and enhances your shooting accuracy.

So, as you practice these two techniques, focus on opening your shoulders and maintaining awareness of the field. By mastering these skills, you’ll be able to receive on the reverse and execute lightning-fast shots with precision.

Alright, guys, it’s time to put these techniques into action. Good luck and have fun mastering the art of receiving on the reverse and shooting to score goals.
