Every indication tells us it will be months before the Government decides to lift the restrictions on community sport and we can play hockey again. As a club need to be ready to go.
Vale – John Glover (Life Member)
It is with sadness that we pass on the news that John Glover passed away yesterday morning (14/04/20) at the age of 90. John was a founding member of the club, who served as the clubs first Treasurer from 1961-65, President from 1981-82 and was awarded Life Membership in 1976.
Community sport
The coronavirus has had a crushing impact on community sport. During the winter months sport has a huge impact, it is more than the winning or losing. There is something really special about being involved with a sports club and it is knowing people will support you.
