It is with sadness that we pass on the news that John Glover passed away yesterday morning (14/04/20) at the age of 90. John was a founding member of the club, who served as the clubs first Treasurer from 1961-65, President from 1981-82 and was awarded Life Membership in 1976.
As well as serving on many committees and coaching over the years, John was also an accomplished player with 200+ A grade games from 1961 to 1972, starting his career as a forward and finishing as a goal keeper.
John was still attending Premiers League games when he could over the last couple of years and was particularly proud that his family was still actively involved. His son and grandsons, James Glover, Tim Cross, Jonathon Cross & Daniel Neilson are still playing while his daughters and their husbands, Lorraine & Ray Cross and Heather & Mark Neilson are social members.
