Our Stick2Hockey program focuses on foundation skill development in a fun-filled environment.
Northern District Hockey League
Launched in 2014, designed as an introduction pathway for children to hockey in a fun safe environment at the one central location. Consisting of skills and team games each session, children will learn and develop hockey skills throughout the sessions. Players will be placed in teams, wear a uniform, and compete against the other teams, but the focus is on fun and connecting socially with the other players; not on winning.
Term 2 Friday 23 April to Friday 18 June (9 weeks).
Under 6 & Under 8 & Under 10: Friday nights 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm.
Previously registered in 2021 eg Hookin2Hockey:$65 registration for term 2 which covers team shirt loan, coaches, and umpire payments for the term.
Not Previously registered in 2021:$95 registration for term 2 which covers team shirt loan, coaches, and umpire payments for the term plus the registration fee of $30 payable to Hockey Australia/Victoria to be covered by player injury insurance.
- Team shirts will be distributed to players to loan for the term and are to be returned at the end of the Term.
- Player to wear long footy type socks black in colour.
- Players to wear black shorts.
Player to always wear mouthguards when participating.
Sticks and shin pads available to borrow each week although kids to supply their own is preferred as this will help us to manage the COVID risk.
Register online by Saturday 17th April to enable us to organise the teams & coaches prior to the first session.

One day participants may represent the Greensborough Hockey Club at State or National like many of Greensborough’s juniors have done in the past. The age groups are Under 6s & Under 8s, plus Under 10s. In 2021 we take the next step in creating a Friday evening local competition which we can grow year on year, we look forward to helping your child discover and love this great game.
Participants are allocated to a team with a dedicated coach. They wear a team shirt each week (to be returned at the season end). Each week starts with a training session with the coach to focus on developing specific skills. This is followed by a small field game against other Burra teams to develop their match experience.
Stick2Hockey is designed as a follow on program for children who have completed the Hookin2Hockey program, Stick2Hockey is a fun training and social hockey activity for children aged 10 and under, designed for those not wanting to participate in a competitive environment.
