Objective: To create a local competition that provides a pathway into hockey.
The Northern District Hockey League was launched in 2014 with the formation of four local hockey clubs competing against each other at Greensborough for 8 week seasons during terms 2 and 3. The NDHL has been designed as a introduction pathway for children to hockey in a fun safe environment at the one central location. Consisting of skills and team games each session, children willblearn and develop hockey skills throughout the sessions that one day may take them to represent the club, state or country like many of Greensborough's juniors have done in the past. The age groups are Under 6s & Under 8s, plus Under 10s.
WHEN: Term 2 - will run from Thursday 2nd May until Thursday 20th June
Term 3 - will run from Thursday 18th July until Thursday 5th September
SESSION TIMES: Under 6 & Under 8 5:30pm – 6:15pm
Under 10 6:15pm – 7:00pm
COSTS: - $60 registration per term which covers HV registration, insurance, coaches and umpire payments for term 2 or term 3 only; or
- $100 registration for 2019 which covers HV registration, insurance, coaches and umpire payments for terms 2 and 3
UNIFORM: - Black shorts & black long socks will be available for purchase for $15
Team shirts will be distributed to players to loan for the season and
are to be returned at the end of each season.
