Life Membership is the highest honour that Greensborough Hockey Club can bestow on an individual.
As such, it is awarded in recognition of those who have rendered distinguished service to the club, or where such service is deemed to have significantly assisted the advancement of hockey in Victoria or Australia.
An outstanding contribution to Greensborough Hockey Club is one which:
- Occurs over a significant period of time,
- Required substantial and commendable personal input,
- Contributes positively to the reputation and standing of the organization and the sport, &
- Results in the organization and sport being substantially, demonstrably and positively changed by that contribution;
What is the nomination process?
- Life Membership nominations can be submitted by financial members of the club
- Nominations can be submitted to the Secretary in writing
Nominations will be assessed based on the criteria within 6 months or receipt - Endorsed nominations will be put to members at the next Annual General Meeting
- Life Membership will be conferred on the nominee if passed by vote of club members
