Accurate Passing

When it comes to passing with accuracy in field hockey, it is important to challenge yourself by aiming for smaller targets. By aiming small, even if you miss, you will only be missing by a small margin. This helps you improve your precision and control. Here are a couple of exercises to enhance your accuracy:

1. Target the corner flag: Choose a specific target on the field, such as the corner flag, and try to hit it with your passes. By aiming for a specific spot, you are testing your accuracy and challenging yourself. Start with a few balls and try to hit the target consistently. If you miss, analyze how close you were and make adjustments for the next attempt.

2. Alternating target exercise: Set up two targets, one on the right goal and another on the left goal. Place five balls on each side, totaling ten balls. Begin at a starting point and alternate hitting the targets, moving back and forth between the right and left sides. This exercise helps simulate game scenarios where you need to change direction and maintain accuracy. Keep track of how many times you hit the targets out of the ten attempts and strive to improve your score.

Remember, the goal is to challenge yourself and improve your accuracy over time. By setting specific targets and practicing regularly, you will develop greater precision in your passing game.
