Parent Help
We rely greatly upon parent help during the season. The club is a volunteer organisation and cannot function without parent assistance. Parents with a hockey background are encouraged to assist in coaching or in umpiring. For those without a hockey background we encourage them to volunteer for one of the management roles. We are also looking for help with maintenance, social functions, and fundraising. Parents could also help by recruiting children’s friends to our club.
Team managers will roster parents for their duties for home games. The Club depends on its funds from the canteen takings to pay for council rates, equipment, etc. The canteen will be operational during home games whereby each parent from a team will be rostered accordingly for home junior games. Emphasis is on helping the club therefore your input is essential. So again, team managers will advise you on your roster times.
Parents joining the club’s management team will automatically become non-playing members of the club with the normal membership fee of $100 waived.
