Welcome to Greensborough Hockey Club's 'Come & Try Hockey' program! Our 'Come & Try' sessions are a fantastic, no-cost opportunity for you to experience hockey firsthand. It's all about giving the sport a go in a fun and supportive environment, without any commitment. Whether you're new to the game or looking to reignite your passion for hockey, these sessions are the perfect way to get a taste of the action! Plus, if you don't have your own equipment, we can lend you a hockey stick, so there’s nothing stopping you from hitting the field and joining in on the fun.
Begin your child's hockey journey with Hookin2Hockey, launching on 17 February 2024 at Greensborough Hockey Club! Ideal for beginners under 10 years old (as of 1 January 2024), this program runs every Saturday from 10-11 am during school terms. Excitingly, we offer a free trial and children can join at any time, ensuring no one misses out on the fun.
Hookin2Hockey is our entry-level program, where children engage for as long as they need to build their foundational skills. For those aged 6 and above, we offer a pathway to advanced levels based on age, skill level, and the preferences of both child and parent. Younger children under the age of 6 can continue to participate in the Hookin2Hockey program, attending weekly sessions that are both fun and educational. This tailored approach supports each child's unique hockey development and ensures a fun, growth-focused experience. Sign up now and let your child's hockey adventure begin at any time!

Age categories are based on your age as of 1 January 2024. Training sessions for the under 12 age group take place on Thursday evenings from 5:45 PM to 7:00 PM. For the older age groups, training is scheduled at the same time but on Tuesday evenings.

We're excited to announce that our competitions kick off in mid-April. The weekend games are where most of our players participate and are open to all ages, making them the heart of our hockey community. If your schedule doesn't align with weekends, don’t worry – we also offer a midweek competition. This flexibility ensures you can enjoy hockey at a time that best suits your lifestyle.
