Greensborough Hockey Club is calling for Expressions of Interest from coaches who are excited to be part of a collaborative, team-based coaching model for the 2026 season.
As a club, we believe strong programs are built when coaches work together, share ideas, and support one another. For 2026, we are focused on strengthening our coaching groups across senior and junior hockey by creating flexible, clearly defined roles that allow people to contribute in ways that suit their availability and experience.
Coaching Opportunities Available
We are seeking expressions of interest for the following teams:
Women’s teams: Women’s Premier League Reserves and other Women’s teams
Men’s teams: Men’s Premier League Reserves, Men’s Pennant A, and other Men’s teams
Junior teams: A range of roles across multiple age groups and development levels
Junior Coaching – Flexible Team-Based Roles
We recognise that not all coaches can commit to every training session and every match. To support this, junior coaching roles can be shared across a team of coaches, including:
Head Coach (Team Lead): Oversees player development, training direction, and coordination across the coaching group.
Trainer (Weeknight Coach): Focuses on delivering training sessions during the week, supporting skill development and learning.
Assistant Trainer: Supports training sessions by helping with drills, small groups, or individual feedback. Ideal for developing coaches or senior players stepping into coaching.
Game Day Coach: Runs the team on match days only, managing rotations, tactics, and player support during games.
This approach allows multiple coaches to contribute to the same team, ensuring consistency for players while making coaching more accessible and sustainable.
