🔄 Junior Games – Parent Roster System
For junior games, we use a parent roster system, where two parents from each team help run the canteen during their child’s game.
✔ Two parents from the playing team take over from the previous game’s volunteers at the start of their shift.
✔ They serve food and drinks while watching their child’s game.
✔ At the end of the game, they hand over duties to the parents of the next game’s team.
✔ The cycle repeats to ensure smooth and continuous operation.
⏳ Time Commitment: Each shift lasts only for the duration of their child’s game, with no extra time before or after.
This system ensures all junior teams contribute, keeping the workload fair and manageable for families.
🏑 Senior Weekend Games – Team & Volunteer Roster System
For senior weekend games, we operate a team roster system, ensuring a structured yet flexible approach to staffing the canteen.
✔ Teams are rostered to provide canteen service.
✔ Each rostered team organizes its own members to cover the shift.
✔ Shifts are scheduled before or after a team’s game to avoid conflicts with match play.
To support team volunteers, we also have experienced individual volunteers who provide continuity, guidance, and overall direction.
✔ Team members assist with food service and operations.
✔ Individual volunteers help oversee the shift, ensuring smooth transitions and consistency.
✔ This hybrid approach keeps the canteen running efficiently while easing the pressure on rostered teams.
