The club participates in a competition is run by Hockey Victoria.
Hockey is a winter sport played in a ‘home and away’ format with a ‘top 4’ finals format. The men’s monday night open age competition is for players of any age.
The club fields teams in the following competitions:
- Men’s Monday Night Open Age C
- Men’s Monday Night 45+ A
- Men’s Monday Night 45+ C
- Women’s Wednesday Night 35+ A
- Women’s Wednesday Night 45+
- Men’s Wednesday Night Over 60’s
When are the games played
Games between April and September with games commencing as follows:
- 7.00
- 8.00
- 9.00
Registration to Play
Before a player can play in the competition they must register with Hockey Victoria and with the Greensborough Hockey club and pay the fees due.
Hockey Victoria Registration
All Victorian hockey participants must register online and make an Individual Registration payment for the following fees:
- Hockey Victoria Individual Membership for outdoor competitions
- Hockey Australia Levy
- Personal Accident Insurance
Greensborough Hockey Club Registration
To play men’s hockey with the Greensborough Hockey Club players must also pay club fees to cover the following:
- Training
- Team coaching
- Equipment used at training and on match days
- Umpires on match days
