BURRA JUNIOR SKILLS
Choose from eight free courses for junior players around 12. Start with whichever topic interests you; the numbers help identify a course and do not set a learning order. Each course opens on GHC’s Thinkific site, where you can read its outline before deciding to enrol.
Explore the wider Hockey Learning Hub for other roles and learning interests.

Open a useful passing lane, time your movement and arrive ready for the next action.
Recognise when you control a regain, notice pressure and choose a useful first pass or carry.
Read a ground pass, reach it first and safely, keep the ball playable and recover when the chance closes.
Learn when to keep containing, choose a safe forehand block tackle and respond to what happens next. Practise the physical skill at supervised training.
Select a course image to read the public outline and find its free-enrolment option. Follow Thinkific’s sign-in or account instructions when prompted. Use Return to menu on the course page to come back to this selection.
You can explore the online explanations and choices without hockey equipment. Physical skills need practice in suitable space, with equipment and supervision appropriate to the activity. Take one idea to training and ask for help where useful.
Course completion is a starting point for applying and discussing an idea. It does not by itself establish skill mastery, selection readiness or clearance to help coach.
