Dear members,
I am writing to advise that Marty DeMan has resigned as Greensborough’s Men’s Premier League Coach.
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the amazing contribution Marty has made to the club over the past 20 plus years as a player and a coach.
Marty has been a leader within the Men’s section of the club for the past 15 years in varying roles across the Men’s 1st and 2nd elevens including, Captain, Assistant Coach, 2nd eleven Coach and most recently Premier League Head Coach.
In his term as Premier League Head Coach, Marty has secured two Premierships from three attempts, a record the envy of most in the hockey community. Having been a significant leader in the club for such a long period of time, I have no doubt there are countless players whose hockey journeys have been aided by Marty’s guidance and input. As a club we are extremely proud to have had a homegrown talent achieve so much in such a short time. Marty leaves the role as the second most successful Men’s Premier League Coach in the club’s history.
I wish Marty all the best for his future and very much look forward to his ongoing contribution to the club’s future. My sincere thanks go to Marty for his work, his effort and his care for the Greensborough Hockey Club.
The club will commence a process for Marty’s successor immediately and members will be notified of the outcome.
