The Melbourne Sports Institute is currently seeking casual hockey umpires for private schools in across Melbourne in Term 3 for their interschool sport competitions.
We have fixtures available on weekdays during school hours as well as Saturday mornings at a variety of locations such as Keysborough, Maribyrnong, Yarraville, Mount Waverley, Camberwell, Dandenong, Ascot Vale, Canterbury, Heatherton, Altona, Hawthorn and others. Umpiring schedules are flexible and would not clash with any current Greensborough Hockey Club commitments. The standard of competition varies from entry level up to Year 12 fixtures, allowing opportunities for beginner and experiences umpires alike.
Umpires are paid at a competitive rate of $35+ per game which can go up depending on location and level of play. This payment is made via direct debit.
It is a great way to earn extra money, particularly for University students and part time workers who love sport and being outdoors. It is also a great way to develop any umpires that may want to further their skills for weekend matches.
